RETRIEVER CLUB OF CROATIA DECIDED TO START THIS SHOW YEAR WITH SPECIALTY SHOW FOR RETRIEVERS IN ZAPREŠIĆ, ORGANISED ON THE SAME DAY AND AT THE SAME PLACE AS CAC ZAPREŠIĆ FOR ALL BREEDS.
OUR CLUBS HAVE FANTASTIC COOPERATION FOR YEARS AND THIS WAS ONLY LOGICAL STEP TO UPGRADE OUR COOPERATION TO HIGHER LEVEL.
JUDGE FOR RETRIEVER SPECIALTY IS WELL KNOWN LABRADOR BREEDER AND JUDGE FOR RETRIEVERS AT CAC SHOW IS CLUMBER SPANIEL BREEDER, WELL KNOWN FCI GROUP 8 SPECIALIST. BOTH JUDGES ARE COMING FROM IRELAND.

I have been in Labradors since 1986 when we bought our first Labrador (BEN) who I really wanted to do obedience with, we started off on that journey and had some minor success until he decided he would do his own thing when it suited him and not me. We then bought our first black boy Trooper in 1989 and started down the obedience path again until a friend suggested that as Trooper was a very nice looking dog I should show him to fill in time while I was training him.
This I duly did and was hooked from there on to showing , Trooper had won many prises within the show ring over his years but nothing compared to him winning his one and only CC.
We bought a bitch pup from the Boothgates kennel in 1993 and registered our 'TALARD' kennel name with the Kennel Club UK IN 1994 and the rest is history as they say. Over the years we have had some good winning dogs but our home breed boy Talard Cee Three Pee Ohh aka (Trooper) has been our most successfully dog to date winning 8cc's 11 reserve cc's which includes the reserve cc at Crufts in March 2023, that was a day we shall not forget in a hurry. In Labradors he is our first English Show Champion and has is also an Irish Show Champion, International Show Champion, Luxembourg Champion with multiple wins on main land Europe.
Tracey our daughter introduced us to the Australian Shepard Breed in recent years and it was in this breed we made up our first English Show Champion, who was from America, Multi CH Bayshore Stonehaven Cat Burglar aka (Prowler). I started out on my judging career in 2000 and progressed my way to the point when I was passed to award CC's in Labradors in 2018 under the UK kennel club.
As an FCI judge I am passed to judge all Group eight breeds plus the group and at present I am progressing through the breeds in Group seven. I am truly honoured and privileged to have been invited to judge at your Zapresic Kennel Club on the 16/03/2024 and looking forward to going over your dogs. Big thank you goes to the committee for the invitation. I look forward to seeing all at the show and lets prey that the weather is kind to us.

Mr. Ralph Dunne started showing in the mid-eighties with Golden Retrievers and later with Clumber Spaniels. He has also had German short haired Pointer and Beagles. Ralph states that he has successfully campaigned dogs to their titles as champions in the UK and Ireland winning many Best in shows and Groups along the way in both countries. He has owned or bred many annual champions in both countries and also top breeder in UK and Ireland for Clumbers. Dunne's Clumber Spaniel Raycroft Socialite was the 1991 Crufts Supreme Champion. This is the first time, in the 100 year history of the worlds most prestigious Dog Show, that an Irish Dog was judged Supreme Champion. Ralph states that he has had the privilege to judge on many occasions breeds, groups, and breed specialities in the USA ,UK, Holland, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Italy, Portugal and Czech Republic.
